Assistant Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, DUET, Gazipur

Currently, I am on study leave and pursuing my PhD in Civil Engineering at McGill University. I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemical & Food Engineering (CFE) at Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET). I received my Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Bangladesh, in 2017 and my Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree from the University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia, in 2015, both in Chemical Engineering with major in Environmental Engineering. Prior to joining DUET as a full-time Lecturer in 2019, I was a full-time Contractual Lecturer at the Department of Environmental, Water Resources and Coastal Engineering (EWCE), Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST). Before serving at MIST, I worked as a Research Assistant on a one-year project funded by the University Grant Commission (UGC), Bangladesh.

Other Information

Neon is the first-generation research and laboratory works enthusiast in his family. He was not always the best student with the highest grades, but with his curious mind and winning attitude, it is no wonder he is always supported and encouraged by teachers. Whatever he is today, he believes he owes all to his mentors.
