Holding a PhD in Fire Engineering from Western Sydney University, along with MSc and BSc degrees in Textile Engineering, he specialises in fire modelling, fire testing of polymeric materials, and process optimisation. His research focuses on fire-retardant materials, fire dynamics simulations, and compliance with safety standards. He has led projects on advanced building materials, conducted full-scale fire testing, and contributed to developing innovative fire protection strategies. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor in Textile Engineering at Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology, enhancing his expertise in materials science and sustainable manufacturing processes. With a strong record of academic publications, industry collaborations, and teaching, he continues to drive advancements in fire safety, materials engineering, and process optimization.

Outside of work Md Delwar Hossain enjoys reading research articles mentoring students attending academic conferences and exploring advancements in fire safety and textile engineering.
